In 1979, Mr. Kazuo Kakihara, Chairman, established Attic Tours Co., Ltd. In Tokyo, Japan. Eventually, he opened branches in Osaka and Fukuoka in Japan, Bangkok and Phuket, both in Thailand.

In the Philippines, the affiliated travel agent was BLTB Tours, but, after thirteen (13) years, Mr. Kakihara decided to establish branch in the country. Thus, the birth of Attic Tours Phils., Inc.

Attic Tours Phils., Inc. was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on September 30, 1992, and officially started operations on March 3, 1993 with Ms. Marie Paz A. Gonzales-Kakihara as the Chief Operating Officer and President.

PRIMARY PURPOSE

The primary purpose for which the company was organized is "to engage in the travel agency business and to provide on a professional fee or commission basis, domestic and/or foreign travel tours and services as well as to provide airline accommodation and/or spaces and other modes of land, sea, and air transportations; to act as agent or in any other representative capacity for firms or entities of any kind likewise engaged in the travel, hotel, or transportation business, whether by land, sea, or air, domestic or international; to provide domestic or foreign trips or tours and acts as guides or escorts for tourists; to enter into contracts or agreements in connection with the furnishing, distribution, and sale of such services associated with or necessarily connected with the general business of travel agency and tourism."
